Baby Belly Laughs

Blubber, blow, bbbbbbbbbbbbb! I love the sweet soft smell of baby’s belly against my face. The added reward is the deep baby-laugh of delight and the wiggles.  Ahhhhhh, life’s precious moments!

Did you have a favorite song you sang to your children?  Did you make up any? You know that Cradle-comes-tumbling-down song is kind of scary!

Our song was not a lullaby; it was much too stimulating!

“He’s my baby and I’ll hug him if I want to / Hug him if I want to / Hug him if I want to / He’s my baby and I’ll hug him if I want to…”

There is a growing suspense here… then I grab and “HUG HUG HUG!!”

The verses ranged into other verbs. He’s my baby and I’ll kiss him if I want to. I’ll squeeze him if I want to. I’ll spank him, tickle him, love him!

They stood in line for the chance to get loved! They put up with this until they were teenagers.

Motherhood is a myriad of pleasure to the senses.  Well, birth is the ticket to get there and that has it sensual aspect. But no one will deny that breastfeeding, bath time, mudpie-making, fishing into the pockets of young boys – now THAT is always an experience, is pleasurable.  These are other stories yet to be told.
