Life Skills from the ProsGourmet

Dear whomever,

Pastor _____ praised the woman for making a deal with her husband.. "Honey you go with me to church and I promise you will get some." ... Pastor called this.. Evangelism.

He isn’t suggesting that women give or withhold sex as a way to motivate their husbands to submit to God's will .. is he?

Hello? What?

Cooking Lessons

There is one hope for me.

My husband thinks I am hopeless, and my kids think I am hopeless and my parents think I am hopeless, though they all love me anyways.   I am a happy loveable hopeless person!

As a matter of fact,  I think I am hopeless if it requires that I have to hope in myself.   But thanks to the Grace of God  I don't!

My only hope is the all-sufficiency of God and that is a LIVELY hope!  He is more than enough! And He is more than willing to abundantly share it!   What a deal!

Another Cooking Lesson: I get it!

It is not about what we do not do!

It is about lending our bodies to the presence of God in our hearts to do, through us, those things that .. "against such there is no law" (Gal 5:22,23) .

Gal 5:22,23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Another Cooking Lesson: I propose a concept...

I am going to whisper into your left ear...

Take a piece of paper. Place your hand on it and draw a line around it.

Quote as Garnish:

If you see a whole thing - it seems that it's always beautiful. Planets, lives.... But close up a world's all dirt and rocks. And day to day, life's a hard job, you get tired, you lose the pattern.

~ Ursula K. LeGuin
