FEEL GOOD Reading Entree

"He guided them by the skillfulness of his hands" (Ps. 78:72). - From Streams in the Desert

When you are doubtful as to your course, submit your judgment absolutely to the Spirit of God, and ask Him to shut against you every door but the right one…Meanwhile keep on as you are, and consider the absence of indication to be the indication of God's will that you are on His track…. then ...

Shortened 23rd Psalm - this is perfect!

A Sunday School teacher who asked her group of children if anyone could quote the entire 23rd Psalm.

A golden-haired, four-and-a-half-year-old girl was among those who raised their hands. A bit skeptical, the teacher asked if she could really quote the entire psalm.

The little girl came to the front of the room, faced the class, made a perky little bow, and said, "The Lord is my shepherd, that's all I want."

She bowed again and went and sat down. That may well be the greatest interpretation of the 23rd Psalm ever heard.

~ "I Shall Not Want," Robert Ketchum

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all. From now on you'll be traveling the road between who you think you are and who you can be. The key is to allow yourself to take the journey.

I am your constant companion. I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden. I will push you onward and upward, or drag you down to failure. I am completely at your command. Ninety percent of the things you do might just as well be turned over to me, and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly. I am easily managed, show me exactly how you want
something done and after a few lessons I will do it
automatically. I am the servant of all great people
and alas! of all failures as well. I am not a machine, though I work with all the precision of a machine, plus the intelligence of a man. You can run me for profit or run me for ruin - it makes no difference to me. Take me, train me, be firm with me and I will place the world at your feet. Be easy with me and I will destroy you. Who am I?  I am Habit.  - Anonymous

This is a story about four people named: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it! It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done!

Camerado, I give you my hand!
I give you my love more precious than money,
I give you myself before preaching or law;
Will you give me yourself?

Walt Whitman (1819–1892), U.S. poet. Song of the Open Road, verse 15 (1856)

When at last I took the time to look into the heart of
a flower, it opened up a whole new world - a world
where every country walk would be an adventure, where
every garden would become an enchanted one.

~ Princess Grace of Monaco

Do you love life?

Then do not squander time ~ for that is the stuff life is made of.

~ Ben Franklin

Find out who you are and do it on purpose.

The Awe of Wonder

The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. So to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead.
     ~ Albert Einstein, 1879 - 1955

They say that every snowflake is different. If that were true, how could the world go on? How could we ever get up off our knees? How could we ever recover from the wonder of it?

Jeanette Winterson

My soul responds  How Great Thou Art! and again I wonder in awe of Him.
